Wave Team Drivers Autograph Session!

(MOORESVILLE, NC) January 19, 2010 – Wave Energy Drink NASCAR Drivers Mike Bliss and Nick Hoffman will be signing autographs this Friday, January 22^nd at Race Night with the Charlotte Checkers in the Time Warner Cable Arena in Uptown, Charlotte, NC. Bliss is set to pilot the No. 36 Wave Energy Drink Chevrolets in the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nick Hoffman handles the driving duties in the American Modified Racing Association (AMRA) Series with the No. 2 Wave Energy Drink Taylor Chassis Machine. Hoffman will have one of his replica race show cars on display behind the autograph table.

The Charlotte Checkers Hockey Team is set to take on the Wheeling (WV) Nailers in an on-ice showdown, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The autograph session will take place prior to the contest in the main concourse from 6:00 – 6:45 p.m. Numerous other drivers from both the NASCAR Nationwide and Automobile Racing Club of America (ARCA) will also be in attendance. The Charlotte Checkers hockey players will also be wearing specially-themed racing jerseys, which will be auctioned off live following the game. This event will be the Fourth Annual Race Night with the Charlotte Checkers and doubles as a fundraiser for Speedway Children’s Charities. In just the past two years, the event has raised over $150,000 for various non-profit beneficiaries.

“This is a great chance to get out locally and support a great charity, as well,” said Mike Bliss. “Wave Energy Drink is very involved in the community and I’m proud to represent them any way I can,” he added. Nick Hoffman echoed Bliss’ statements, adding that he enjoys hockey when he’s not racing. “This event is going to be a lot of fun because I love both hockey and racing, and both events are under the same roof this weekend.”
